What is Green Design? It can mean being ecologically friendly, saving money, recycling, saving energy, not filling up landfills, or basically being economical; simply not wasting resources. Many decisions you make around your home can be viewed as either being green or not. Waste is precalent in poor designs. Designs that don’t work, products that don’t last, fabrics that wear out too soon and things that break all add to waste as they are discarded prematurely. Good design, durability and quality never go out of style and are inherently green.
